How to Pitch at an Event

Pitching at events is awkward, and most founders make the same mistakes. So if you’re at a conference or demo day, here’s how to do it:

1. Start with Wow

Don’t begin by describing what you do, instead talk about what makes your company special. That is much more likely to pique their interest.

2. Confident Approach

As you approach an investor, a smile along with a warm and confident hello goes a long way to starting the conversation off right.

3. Easy Ask

Don’t ask someone to invest on the spot, that’s low probability in most cases. I suggest, asking for contact info and if they’d want to chat more

Best of luck out there.
