Application Process

What to Expect

The application process is designed to be quick and easy, so you can get started on your project ASAP.

Here’s a rough outline of what to expect: Apply online > Video call > Basic Diligence Checks > Grant Sent

Once you receive your grant, there’s no additional requirements but all recipients can join regular group sessions to discuss their project and get help.

Why are you doing this?
We want to invest in areas that are full of talent but do not always get their fair share of startup investments. Our hope is that these grants can help some teams get started who wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
What categories does Sterling Road provide grants for?
All. While we do focus on software projects and traditionally overlooked founders, we are most interested in talent that needs a helping hand.
Are there any commitments for grant recipients?
If you’re selected for a grant, we will invite you to attend a monthly check in session with other recipients, to get help and get advice. These sessions are optional and you can attend for as long as it makes sense for your project.
What if we have already raised money?
Congratulations! The grant is for people just getting started, so you’re too far along for this program. Please take a look at our investment programs.
