You Need Dozens of Agents Not Engineers

It sounds like science fiction but the coding AI tools are now advanced enough that you can have dozens operating on your behalf concurrently. It's a wholesale shift in how to think about developing software and you probably want to be in the first movers.

1. No Humans Write Code

Engineers should not be writing, testing or reviewing code. That is done by the coding agents. I realize this sounds like blasphemy to some folks, I'm here to say it's the new reality.

2. Dozens of Agents

Engineers are now architects writing specs instead of code and managing agents that do the coding, testing and reviewing on their own. This means you can and should have dozens of projects running concurrently.

3. Digital Twin

In order to avoid the agents lying about test results, you need to create a ring fenced test environment that the other agents cannot manipulate. This digital twin of the real world environment both allows for unlimited testing by the agents to produce the correct outputs, while also ensuring integrity of the code.

Best of luck out there.
