You Need to Be Thrilled With Early Employees
June 25, 2024
You need to be absolutely thrilled with your first employees. If you’re not overwhelmingly excited about the performance of one of your first hires, you need to let them go.
Today we’re talking about how to time your fundraise.
1. First, resist the temptation to raise prematurely. If you raise too early, then you risk wasting lots of time for minimal capital.
2. When you are in a position of strength, seize the opportunity. Whether it’s 3+ months of 10% growth or an upcoming demo day, then take advantage of the situation and start fundraising. This situation may not last forever.
3. If you wait too long, you risk seeing your growth taper off, making your company less attractive for investors and, thus, harder to close your round.
Best of luck out there.
